The Schulte Group History
Schulte Energy Services leverages on the international resources of The Schulte Group, a leading worldwide, family owned ship owner and ship manager.
Whilst Schulte Energy Services is the youngest addition to The Schulte Group family, The Schulte Group history can be traced back to 1883. Co-founders Johann Hermann Schulte, the great grandfather of the present chairman and Chrisptoph Bruns founded Schulte & Bruns, a shipbroking and ship agency in Germany. By the turn of the century, the company had acquired 12 sailing vessels which were mainly employed in the Baltic timber trade.
Today, The Schulte Group employs over 17,000 seafarers and about 1,000 people onshore, owns more than 90 vessels and manages in excess of 500 vessels.
